The Incident Investigation Workshop is a one-day program. It includes introducing the various Incident Cause Analysis Methods. Our preference is the ICAM (Incident Cause Analysis Method). A case study based on real incidents are provided and you will use your current and acquired knowledge to investigate the incident and develop a presentation about the incident which includes :
Factors leading up to the incident
Timeline and event report
Events post incident
Evidence collected
Key findings
Recommendations
implementation of corrective actions
Monitoring, review and continuous improvement
We explain the difference between interrogations and Investigative Interviewing. The PEACE Model of investigative interviewing (used by Police all over the world) provides benefits which includes, but not limited to:
Cognitive psychological insight - how memory works in a person
Building rapport with the person being interviewed
Open ended questions
Noncoercive interview techniques
Structured and supportive to the person being interviewed
Focused on accurate and reliable information
